Linefork May 2014- Day 4

Our last day in Linefork was incredible. We finished up the tiling project and stayed at Ms.Mary's for Sunday School and Service. It was such a great time to hang out with them, love on each other, and worship God. I'm so amazed at what God has done through this trip, despite the rain and other setbacks, He had a plan the whole time and He accomplished it. We all made it home safely, and definitely blessed. Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers, please continue to pray for Ms. Mary, her kids, and the people in the area. God is good!!

Linefork May 2014 - Day 3

Today we started by working together to load the trailer with food and clothes to give away in Cumberland, a once-thriving coal-mining town with a lot of need.  We took it all to United For Jesus, a ministry inside a former middle school, who contacted people about the give-away.  While part of the team was in Cumberland, Dean, Clint, & Nick stayed to add some tile to where the griddle will go.  We ended our day with Ms. Mary sharing her testimony.  God is good!

Linefork May 2014 - Day 2

After a trip to Wal-Mart and the hardware store we hit the groung running at Ms. Mary's. Half of the team went to work on repairing the overhang.  The other half bagged about 1,400 pounds of noodles and 578 pounds of cereal in preparation to give them away tomorrow.  In the afternoon, we decorated for the party, cleaned & fixed the fountain, and prepared to install the griddle.  Dean led an art class for some of Ms. Mary's children and showed them how to paint river rocks (which are plentiful in the creek behind the house).  The birthday party was not long after and everyone took a well-deserved break for fellowship and good food.

Linefork May 2014- Day 1

The Linefork team has arrived!! After five hours of driving through the fog and rain we made it safely to Ms. Mary's! Thank you for your prayers! Today was the planning day, we took measurements for the lean-to on Ms. Mary's garage and for a grill that's going into the Pavillion, we drained the little pond by Ms. Mary's house, pulled weeds, and made some landscaping plans. The greatest thing that happened today was meshing. God amazes me with how well He can pull a team together to serve His people and glorify Him. Today was full of testimonies, laughter, and just getting to know a great bunch of believers. We're all incredibly excited to head over to Ms.Mary's tomorrow and love on her and her kids some more. Please keep us in your prayers as we love as Jesus' hands and feet this week!
